Hi everyone

I am Chantel; mom to Rohan(4) and Mikayla(2) ; My hubby's name is Riaan
We have started our Pr process last year April; been granted this year June.

Riaan left for Auckland in September.He is a Cisco Network engineer and was lucky to get a job within his week of arriving.Â I am a Sap R/3 Basis Administrator and will start job hunting once I arrive.Â I had to stay behind to sell the house get the container loaded etc.Â Very happily I have now booked my place on a plane the 29th of December; so we are very excited !!!

Nice to get to know you, Chantel! Wish I could meet y'all at the meetup.

This past Sunday, we had a braai here in Austin at the dam, and met up with a bunch of other South Africans. It was lekker to gooi the taal!

And they had free Nando's spices to give away and also some free Rooibos. We missed getting the NAndo's spices, because we arrived late.

But still got some Rooibos! My son who is 7 and born here in the States, had this notion that because all the adults were geselsing, that he wouldn't be able to understand the kids (we speak English at home), but I assured hiim that all the kids have to be able to speak English in order to go to school here, so he needn't worry.

Well, hope the move goes smoothly and that your STUFF arrives safely and soon! BTW, if you're taking a container it may take a while before it arrives. I suggest you take a few homely things along in your luggage (loved toys for the kids) so it's not all too new for them on the other side. But they adapt so quickly though.

Luckily the container is on its way already ; so I shouldnt be without my stuffies for to long; maybee a week or two at the most. In the meentime the kids can catch up with Dad till their toys arrive

they will have their xmas prezzies to take along though

Hey everyone

Yay I got work!!!
I start on Monday

Love New Zealand so far
We are in the Howic area if theres any one else planing coming this way ; give us a shout

Kids are happy in creche... yes I can confirm its EXPENSIVE !!
But hey what can we do....

Traffic jsut as bad as SA... to many cars to little road ;p but HEy theres no taxis that has to be a plus !!!! People drive a lot safer ... I thought 100 on the highway... you wont believe how quickly you get used to it !!!

So far so good... glad about our decision...

Oh yes all our stuff arrived safely.. in tact and no issues
We are renting ; dead happy but gonna start looking for a house.. I like to be able to paint and decorate how I like ;p

I am holding thumbs they do decide to have the interviews in April and not only June /July
