Ek hoor daar is paaie toegesneeu op SI, hoe lyk dit daar by julle ?

Is daar so iets soos ventertjies ? Ek dink as ek al my bagasie in 'n kar wil laai

gaan ek of 'n venter, of 'n "wen" moet koop !!

Laat weet tog wat julle op die vloer het asseblief  man?

Thanx Johan, I did contact Happy, and she was more than willing to help,

but I think it was a little too short notice.

Did the beat on foot and got myself a jeepy.

Leaving for Grey on saturday, and so far I think NZ is SUPER !!!!!!

Chch is nothing like a city,

I could easily have settled here.

Still not sure what you're asking, and yes this a late reply...

But basically, if you wanna drive, you need a license.  And you have to apply for it yourself.  You can't ask your wife to apply for you - she will charge you $85, and then you still have to pay AA... and appear in person, and I think I'll charge you $85 for that info :2funny:

Hi All

This is my first post, so I would like to take the opportunity to thank all of you for the valuable information and advice that I have picked up on the forum over the past 6 months. I have searched the thread regarding the conversion of SA driver's licenses and have established that you need your passport and your valid SA license to apply for the conversion. Do you have to have a WP or PR to do the conversion or can you do the conversion just with a visitor's visa ?

 Thanks Parra. This is good news. We only picked up this morning that my wife's SA license expires in April. We are hoping to leave SA at the end of January and pictured ourselves having to sit here a while longer to wait for a new SA license.

You newcomers are so lucky, a decade ago we had to do the "Ithuba" scratch-and-win theory test....
