NZQA ASSESMENT / CARPENTER
« on: November 02, 2016, 03:06:06 pm »
Hi  :help:

I hope someone could assist me, I cant seem to verify if my Husband's Qualification needs to be assessed or not by the NZQA.

He obtained his qualification in August 2016

He has a National Occupational Qualification: Carpenter NQF Level 3 - Code: 641502
This I have been able to confirm on the Curriculum document that this is equivalent to the New Zealand - National Certificate in Carpentry Level 4 -NZQF Level 4

He received his qualification thru Practical and theoretical Tests.  He did not receive training, but has 10 years work experience.

I have tried to find out on NZQA's website, and I cant seem to verify if an assessment is needed or if it is on the exemption list.

I there is someone that could possibly give me some guidance with this, it would be greatly appreciated.

 :)

Our advisors told us qualifications before 2010 don't need to be assessed.  But even though he got his in 2009, he needs to be assessed.  I guess you have to be assessed to see if you need to be assessed. ..
