Ok more questions.

I am waiting for a letter from Paul, stating that NZ will allow me to import my firearms.

In the meantime, what is the best way to ship the firearms. Bearing in mind that the export permit will take months and I have to be in NZ by beginning May.

So taking them on the plane with me is not an option. Are there courier services that will deliver the firearms?
Regards

Hill

Doreen you are on!! Just get yourself to Whangarei... the BBQ is on us!  O0

Hi Hill. Yes there is courier services. leave the weapons at a weapons dealer (if you PM me I can give you the name of someone in Pretoria) and they will send it via courier when your export permit comes.

SAP will accept an email letter from Paul and he usually answers within 2 days. My advise is  drive the paperwork though yourself to the headoffice closest to you (PTA central is best). so try your best to hurry it for May and bring them on the plane. (I have good contacts in PTA Lyttelton if you want them) Overall  :gl: and I hope you only have hunting rifles. Do not try handguns!

We have been waiting 8 months for our export permits..... they are USELESS :tickedoff:

I sent our contact in SAP a email to tell him one of the forum members will be contacting him and he replied this morning saying he had resigned and are immigrating to Sweden.

Gosh :o SA will be empty soon!

He also imformed me that our file is missing and that he has given up trying to help because it is useless  ???

So now Pieter and I are back to step 1 and also worried our export permit application is gone!

I have so far emailed about 5 courier companies for quotes.  two have so far come back and mentioned they do not transport firearms. Still holding thumbs for the last three.
