I feel that it is sometimes better to just try & line up interviews before you arrive than get an actual job - but that is speaking from my point of view (almost have PR)

Rhodan how's the packing going?  Have you got all your ducks in a row or are they running wild?

Feels like we never left Akl.  It has been raining now for 2 weeks.  One day of sunshine in that time, and the roof is leaking.  Tumble dryer on the blink and washing dried by heater, just like in the guest house.

Quick question re: washing machines and dryers... Is it better to buy 2 machines or the new all in one variety? We are wanting to get a new one

I have always been warned over the years through various people not to toch the all in one but have never had one so I can't honestly say.  Just make sure you get a make that can be repaired on that side if need be.   O0

My sister said it's better to air-dry the washing.  Electricity is expensive and the dryer uses a lot of it.  She only uses theirs once in a while if it's a really have to.  The rest of the time, she hangs it outside under the carpark roof.   Where we are renting there is no cover over the washing line, so we are having to use the dryer almost all the time.  We got our first real bill two days ago, and I'm not sure if it's the dryer or the dehumidifier (most likely) that shot our bill up so high.. .$393  :heeha: :heeha: :heeha:

Shaz.... do NOT get the all in one.  I had endless hassles and eventually - 6 months after the whole story began - I replaced it with seperate units!! It was basically burning my clothes because when we set it to tumble dry after washing, the timer got stuck somehow (they never figured out what was actually wrong, or maybe I lost patience after 6 months of to and fro) on 6 mins remaining.... so it never switched off.

Another thing, your washing time is doubled because you cant wash and tumble dry at the same time anymore.  I am used to being able to do both at the same time and get more laundry done.

Well those are my experiences anyway :)
