I may be wrong, but I would think you'd have to do some sort of course, or recertification to prove you understand the NZ law?

Hi Nolan/Johan

Am also commissioner of oaths in SA - did you manage to find out something about the regulations in NZ? Would appreciate advice if you did!

Hallo - just chatted to my sister (she is a laywer in Auckl)

She say you become a comm is not as easy as in SA

There is a whole law just for this and you have to do the whole course and write an exam

Go look at the statudes of NZ/ ministry of justice website

Perhaps someone else has more info?

Ok advise please?

Pieter has a work function on Friday 16h00 - 19h00 and I have been invited.

1. What to do with the kids?
2. If I drink something how to get home?

Any brilliant ideas?

Didi, What about the babysitting service that you bought on that auction. Wont she/they be available again to look after the kids.
Take a taxi to and from the function! You don't want trouble with the law!

try a baby sitting service.maybe in yellow pages. Pricy probably.

Get a taxi home or get a designated sober driver. Or public transport, depends how far it is away from home.

Yippee - Eileen lucky you remembered.... I phoned and got that lady so she will be whatching the kids

Also got a "call a driver" to bring us, and the car, safe back home.... $20 but worth the chance to get out and away alone....

I can't believe I did this regulary in SA, I feel like a kid again. I have not been without the kids in grown up conversation since the schools closed in Dec!

Jay!! I'm glad for you Didi. Enjoy your evening out...  Getting a break without the kids once in a while is good for the soul......

The $20 for the driver sounds like a good deal. Taxi's are very expensive.
