Moving to Auckland
« on: November 08, 2007, 10:01:49 am »
Hi

I will have to change my user name in December. I was offered a job in Auckland today which I accepted. Will be teaching at a school on the North Shore.

Thanks for all the support.

I have really loved being in Rotorua. It is so central to the beach and the snow. But I am a big city boy at heart and I have missed that. So, 4 weeks left in this little town that has become my home. Will be sad to leave but exciting to settle in Auckland and look to put down roots and buy a flat or townhouse.

Congrats Brad, sad to see you leave our little town. Eileen and I are still waiting for that promised braai that we were going to have. But like you said, Roto is not for the "big city people". It's a small town at heart and I suppose that's the way its going to stay. But it quickly crawls into your veins, I must add. When we go visit somewhere else, I can't wait to get home. Its a nice place to live in. Voorspoed in Auckland boet. Hope you are going to love it.

Hey

Thanks. I am sure I will still come down to Roto every now and then to visit.

It has been a crazy few months and I seem to be on duty every weekend (or been away for the weekend). Must make a plan to come see your house before I leave.
