Hi all.
Any advice (before I phone the cell co.) on what to do with contracts that run months after you are due to leave?

This is something that we have puzzled about as well . We have decided to  keep it running till it expires and leave it for my mom to use.

We had 10 months left on Jasons contract which was a business 500 min contract so we looked at every option including begging vodacom to let us off the hook.  The cheapest way was to downgrade it to a weekender which coast aprox R2300 for the downgrade (they take into acc the type of contract and phone you got at the beginning) then the 10 months left we asked my mom in law to pay up for us which came to R1350.00.  So in total aprox R3600.  If we had not downgraded and just paid the remaining term it would have been closer to R9000.00

Oh dear, so it is as we feared. We all have cheaper contracts than the Buz.500; it's just that we have three contracts; two fairly new!! Another cost!! And so we get further and further from that deposit to put down on the house in NZ!

Dont forget to give them NOTICE, even if its 18 months in advance.

Most of these guys want 2 months notice to cancel. So at a minimum you need to cancel before the end of month 22 of the contract.

Otherwise they just keep sending those debit orders. >:(

Andre
