One way ticket - Tax clearance
« on: December 20, 2007, 09:29:36 pm »
Hi

I have a question. Doe sanybody ask you anything if you leave witha one way ticket and a PR Visa. Not planning to emigrate yet. Got things still going on here, and husband still stays behind.
Just unsure what to reply if they ask me why I am leaving on  a one way ticket.

Another question is how do you take the travel allowance, cash, traveller cheques, put money on credit card or a draft. ?

Thanks
Andrea

If you have PR, nobody will question your one way ticket.   But they will certainly not allow you to do a visit or short term WP with a one way ticket.

I am taking R 160 000 per person (adult) and R 50 000 per child for travelling allowance and placing it direct into a NZ account with ASB. On my first day in NZ ASB will give me a bank card to use for all purchases.....

The 5000 in cash on the plane in dollars
