A reminder to those selling their properties that they can make use of bridging finance while they are waiting for their house money to be released. We did this through Bridging Finance Solutions and it work well for us as we were able to pay for our container and book flight tickets in the meantime. This saved us at least a month. You can check out their info HERE. They were quick and efficient, highly recommended. O0

Have been trying to sell our house for 2 months, not even an offer!!  The viewers have also become fewer.  In the beginning had lots of appointments to view, but now only about once per week. Can't join hubby up until i've sold  :'( :stress: :stress:

Who else is on this property rollercoaster ride in SA at the moment?

I so feel for you Marcia, had a similar thing, a couple liked my house and another house - then chose the other!!

And there are people out there with money to buy, had two couples who came to look and then they decided to go for the properties that are 1 - 2 million more than mine  How does that work!!! ??? ???

It helps to know that i'm not the only one

Hope your buyer arrives soon. Keep me posted :)

Ooooooooooo I'm very "dof" tonight     Wanted to post Happy Birthday for Happy Expat

Etresia... I'm also still on the same ride   :(  And just like you I can't join hubby before the house is sold  :'(  :'(

He does not have a job yet, guess we will have to make a decision at the end of 3 months if it's stay, extend visa, look some more or come back  :-\

Hute, Marcia and Trish,

Just hang in there and keep the faith!    We've been in the market since Nov (5 months) had 2 offers that fell thru (banks -  :cursing: ) and last nite got another 2 offers (well one from the first guys again - he's now got a cash buyer for his house  )

So, things happen for the right reason at the right time that it is meant to happen...  I know it doesn't seem like it when you are down in the dumps and despairing, but believe it, visualize it, pray for it, and it will happen if it is meant to be.

Strongs to you all

No Malindy, No new news.

After 2 fell through and a third "cash" buyer also fell through we have someone renting for 12 months.

At least that covers the bond, W&E, Tax and so on so at this stage it helps.

Good luck to the rest of you who are still trying to sell  :gl:

Thanks Malindy and Sandy, appreciate your support! :) It helps to hear from others who understand the frustration you go through during this time, its such a lonely process at times as well.

Good luck, Malindy, with your buyer.  Keep us posted on the outcome. :)
