ATTORNEY MOVING TO NZ?

Hi,

I was at a seminar and according to the spokesman a qualified attorney has to redo something like 20 modules.

I’m not sure how correct this is as they also said it will take 2 years to do?  You do the math.

I am a conveyancing typist, been doing this for 5 years and have to start from scratch!

So if you ever end up in NZ or find answers to the question where do we go from here please let me know.

I would like to know if there is any chance to get a job in NZ for someone like me.

I know of an SA Lawyer who went  to OZ, before she left she said that she couldn't work in OZ as she had to redo some aspect of law.... SA use Roman Dutch Law.... OZ and NZ use British Law Systems.... I think there is some difference between the two systems.....
