The whole issue of NZ vs Australia is really a very personal one. And you will get as many different views on it as there are people....
But I have heard that it is easier to get into NZ at the moment... you can get in here with a N2 qualification and find a job, whereas it's more difficult in other parts of the world. There are quite a few people who come to NZ, wait out the time to get citizenship and then go to Australia, but I think that more people who had that intention, actually land up staying in NZ, and canning the Oz idea in the end...
On the other hand, I have a friend who I worked with at two different companies in SA, who came to NZ for 6 weeks in the winter (dunno which areas they visited), didn't like it one bit, and has settled with her family in Oz. But that is the
only person I know that didn't like NZ, and opted for Oz instead after actually being here.
So as others have said, you may want to do your own research, knowing yourself and your likes and dislikes, and then perhaps even doing a holiday and see for yourself....
All the best Pravesh
