eeeuw Spur...gross  :idiot2: don't even like the stuff and I'm still in Saffa land  ;) I'm going to miss ( and I know this) Mrs Balls tomato chutney, the hee-uge variety of chips, biltong/droe wors, my local butcher, mealie meal  :o , milktart, peppermint crisp tart ( do they have orley whip?) free parking, and some other stuff...

but can't wait to get back, just a couple of weeks - I've sold my car/bike & house...phew.

I was also sick of Spur in SA but now that we're here we long for a decent steakhouse to eat at.  We used to go to Cattle Baron a lot but there's nothing here evenly remotely similar.  REally missing a good restaurant.

You can buy Mrs Balls here in NZ and it's not that expensive.

Juan of all the things you listed the only one I haven't seen here yet is the Orley whip, all the others are available here.

Come fetch, skattie. It won't last the trip, not with this family in the same car as a melktert nie, or like our youngest call it, "whiggly stuff". So sorry for you, come fetch, but I do have a little good news, Rotorua has a National Airport, you could fly here quickly if you really wanted to....

I know we are going  :offtopic: here but could someone please check if you can get buttermilk. I make a mean batch of buttermilk rusks and a great braai brood that needs it as well.
