HI Almal
« on: March 11, 2008, 11:03:09 pm »
Wil net graag kennis maak met almal!! Me  and hubby have finally decided  we've  had enough. It's either Canada (my sister-in-law lives there) or NZ. We are definately leaning towards NZ. Seems like our type of people and at least the driving is on the same side of the road!!! My hubby recons he would never be able to get excited about ice-hockey instead of RUGBY!!!

I'm a teacher and would like to contact other teachers who are in the propcess or who have already registered as NZ teachers. My husband is a surveyor.

Any advice would be appreciated!!

Hi

this website has EVERYTHING you need and step by step.

This is what I did: 1st thing: get degree and teacher qualification assessed FULLY by NZQA. Then apply for teacher registration with www.teacherscouncil.govt.nz

applied for jobs on www.edgazette.govt.nz

It is much easier to find a job IN NZ. Very hard to do it my way with phone interviews (you wont get many interested in you).

obviously you need all the usual things -birth certs etc.

PM me if you want more info.

Welcome Woopsie. My wife's also a teacher, but we're still early in the process. Things posted off to NZQA for assessment, also been drawn from EOI, but now just waiting and hoping that things don't take too long! Let us know if you have any questions and we'll try help...

Sorry been soo busy last couple of days. Thanks for all your replies. We will be trying to get in with my hubbie as applicant so the innitial pressure will not be on me. I'd like do do as much of the paperwork here to make things easier. I just takes soooo loooooong! Can't wait ot "escape"!!! But it is early days so I'll have to learn to be patient.
