Hi guys and girls.
Just saying Hi.
I am new to the site and am looking forward spending alot of time here.
My wife and I decided to give NZ a try.
I am a Software analyst for the past 7 years and my wife is in the Airport industry we decided to make the move to NZ to make a better life for us.

It is a big step and I am dedicated to make it work and are very positive that we will find work.

I am at a cross road deciding if I need to apply for work first or just pack up and leave and hope for the best.

Keep up the good work here and I will be chatting to all of you soon.

WELCOME to the sight, you would easly be able to get a job here, send out some cv first to get interviews lined up.And do your EOI, i am sure you will have enough points to apply for PR.

I am also in the airline industry and battling to get work. Airnz wants PR. and they control most of the airport handling.But not all hope is lost.If you get a job your wife can apply for an open work permit.

keep contact, i would love to see how it goes. I am In auckland at the moment, been your for two months, and no job offer yet.Only a few interviews. It is tuff if you dont have a trade. But IT is easy :clap:cheers

I'm also in IT but not so much experience - 3years - I've got a phone interview tonight!

Still in SA - flying on 28th - to further the jobhunt. Decided not to wait it out here in SA till all migration stuff is sorted and rather go over and start working there proactively

Just a quick question from anybody that works in NZ in IT.
How difficult is it to get a position there. I am an OCP (Oracle Certified Proffesional) and been programming in Oracle for the past 7 years.

Will I be

just to pack up and leave SA on a visit trip and look for work in NZ or rather try to get a offer from SA before hand?

Where will be the best place to look Aukland or Wellington?

Does these agencies that sort all the paper work worth the money spend?
