Well I will be needing to get rid of mine soon...  but Im hoping I wont have a problem because I have had it for 2 years and my settlement value means I should still make at least 5 to 8 grand on it... Just have to find someone who wants to buy it now!

I have 2 cars (Hyundai Sonata & Getz) from MFC that needs to go ASAP.
The offers that I received is nowhere near the settlements.

Looks like I'm going to hand them back to MFC and make a huge loss

Yes we had 2 cars from wesbank - one was bought with a residual (stupid I know) and the one car basically settled the other - owed R23 000 on the polo.  Made a loss on the cars

Try sell it on AA Autobay....

I think they have a special on that you can list it for free.... it's like selling it privately.

Also Wesbank financed.

Saw an ad in the paper. This guy arranges take-over of payments.
Says he has been doing this for a lot op people immigrating.
You then keep the insurance in your name, only change designated driver.
The guy paying the car is then responsible for excess if applicable.

Unsure about this ?

Has anybody done this or know anything about this ?

Amber please PM me your details and I will pass them on to my friend Rowleen in Durban.  They have a bakkie they bought a couple of months ago (not sure if it was new) and they are now leaving for England at the beginning of July.

I know of a guy who also had an operation like this.  Hy sit nou met sy g..t in die tronk!  It is illegal, nobody can take over your payments unless they take over the whole lease and get the car re-finansed again in their own name

BLY WEG !

besides as everything is still in your name, he can drive the daylights out of the car, prang it and walk away and you sit with the loss
