Tax Clearance
« on: January 28, 2008, 09:55:24 am »
Hi everyone... Been wondering about this and just have not had the time to ask. This Thread has now reminded me....!   :'(
When exactly do you need the Tax clearance certificate? Hubby going over on 'holiday' to go for some interviews and will more that likely stay there. We will join him later. I'm still sorting out the tax, still owe them a bit of money    1) Can he go over without this certificate and I can sort it out before we leave as a family?   2) Will the dearest Tax man assist me with sorting out hubby's tax if I have a General Power of Attorney?  ::)

Hi Wilna

Good news - a Tax Clearance is not needed by NZ. It's only for SARS if you are planning on taking out more (provided you have) than you 'holiday allowance' of R160 000 per person per annum.

NZ could care less   (say no more)

You've just made my day! Thank you... we don't have a trust fund to take over... so that is cool. I'll just make sure all is up to date by the time I leave...

Hello!  Can you help and give some advice on where to go (internet) to try and find some jobs?  We are leaving soon - packing up and going!  So hopefully all goes well. We'll see when we get there!!

Hi Chaas and congratulations I only read your post now.
If you need any info on anything around here let me know.  Jason works in Matamata and Cambridge.  Have you got accomodation for when you arrive? :)

Hi MJ,

I was beginning to wonder if there's any life form near matamata!!  It would be great if you could share some of your experiences of the area and somme things you think we should know! We would appreciate it sooo much!  We don't have accommodation yet,  we need acc for about 2 weeks.  Where and what would you reccommend?  If everything goes according to plan we will be arriving mid May.
