We were also not appreciated when we asked them why there are so many joggers in SA - Because they have to get for fit to run when the poo hit the fan.

Versigtig nou Boet !  There are some Comrades veterans on this site !

So what are you saying?? You have been "practicing" for a LONG TIME to do the "run" thing, when the poo hits the fan, what johanpet1 is talking about?  :2funny:  ;D  Good on you mate!!
Wished I had "practiced" some more.  :2funny:  Comrades was 1 of my things that I wanted to do and never got a round to do it.  ;)  Cheers,  >:D , SAKB.

Crime is definitely not 0% in NZ - a friend of mine lives in Auckland and was never a victim of crime in SA, but in NZ she's been burgled twice. Difference is, violent crime is not so big in NZ and the police actually do something there because they have the right attitude and enough police vehicles!  :)

I'm sure SA will get better eventually, but I think it's going to get worse before it starts getting better.  :'(

I can not see that ever happening..... I can go into a page long explanation but won't. But I will say this. For that to happen, you need a Government change, and that ain't going to happen. Get the "criminal factor" to change, and THAT ain't gonna happen either. And with that you need an effective Police force,  :2funny: and that ain't going to happen either, so sorry, I can not see that "SA will get better eventually" ever from happening. Sorry, my 2c worth. Cheers,  :2funny: , SAKB

Of course things will get better. The clever people are emigrating, the criminals will kill all the stupid people (including politicians) and once there are no more honest people to kill, the criminals will kill each other. And then we can go back!  ;D and start the country all over again like the old dutchmen!  8)

Well, luckilly you will have great-grandkids in NZ. We don't know what can happen in SA in future and if mine want to go back, that would be their choice. Like my coming to NZ was my choice, it would be theirs then.
Like an old friend of mine used to say: "Man live by choice only". It is what makes us human. Cheese and enjoy,  O0 , SAKB.

I like your thinking Hopeful O0

I can't see us ever going back either, it is too much drama to move twice and when you go back, things are never the same anyway. Maybe if your scenario plays itself out, my kids, or their kids can return to Africa. Me, I'll just find a beautiful corner of NZ and retire there one day ;)
