Official hello
« on: July 23, 2008, 10:13:55 AM »
Hi there

I've been posting and replying all over but have not officially said howzit!

My name is Taarik (according to the jobs section i should use a more english speaking name lol) - so i guess Rick will have to do  :2funny:
I am from sunny, pot-holed, cape town  ;D My wife and I are thinking about making the move to NZ. We have a little one on the way, and a good life for the baby is one of the major reasons for the intended move. Other reasons will be posted in the other forum sections as i move along  :)
I'm in IT, specifically web development/programming/LAMP developer using open source technologies. I have a few years of experience and B.Com(Information Systems) from UCT.
I have browsed seek.co.nz and seen some good possibilities.

I have sisters who have immigrated to NZ and are in auckland. so that will most likely be my city of choice too.

just wanna say howzit, im glad i found this place, and it's really a wealth of information. and thats thanks to all you guys and Nolan. great site  O0

Hi

My name is Michelle, I'm happy to have found this forum. My family and I are all relocating to Auckland at the end of September. My hubby's brother was highjacked and his wife was held at gunpoint and so the 3 brothers decided it's time to  kick SA dust of their feet. I'm looiking forward to hearing from you.

Regard Michelle

Welcome you Guys. Yes, it is better to bring the family with. But, all must decide on their own. If somebody don't, don't force them, otherwise if they don't like it here for whatever reason they cannot throw it back in your faces and blame whoever. If my wife's family get together, there are 18 altogether. Nice. You suddenly don't feel alone anymore. And what is nice, everybody decided on their own they are coming and nobody was forced by nobody else. Cheers, SAKB.
