Explore NZ without moving from your PC...
« on: August 27, 2008, 07:34:33 pm »
Hi guys,

Just downloaded google-earth.  Absolutely amazing.  Can 'fly' to any suburb in any country.  Guess which country I've been checking out?

I googled the school my kids will go to, checked out the malls  ::), routes to go to school, checked out all the beaches + distances from where we would like to stay etc.

If you would like to find your bearings around NZ, I would recommend you download it and see for yourself.  Obviously work better if you have a suburb in mind, else it takes a while to zoom in from the cities.
All I can say is that NZ looks even better than I was told by OH.

Yeah google earth is amazing, but I can tell you with all honesty that one thing it does not convey is the beauty of Auckland.  The amazing views and green green grass can only be seen and appreciated fully by the naked eye  O0
