Vaccinations
« on: November 20, 2008, 09:56:51 am »
Can anyone please assist. I have a 5 year old and a 2 year old. I had the kids at the paed before we arrived in NZ in June 2008. They are both up to date with their vaccines in SA. I just wanted to know if they require / need any vaccines here? I know that in SA my 2 year old would need his booster at 5. What is required here in NZ? I hope someone can help. :help:

When I checked their regulations a while ago I remember reading something about a special vaccination that was needed in NZ because of a particular strand of meningitis (I think....). Other than that I think it is pretty much standard (as per WHO regulations), but here is the full immunization schedule (http://www.immune.org.nz/?t=571) and I think this website will help with other questions you may have also.
