END-OF-YEAR PARTY, DRINKING AND A TAXI?
« on: November 29, 2008, 06:20:14 pm »
Hi there

I'm in Auckland and due for good night out soon, but the taxi's prices seem very dear to me.  They charge $50 upwards for a trip from Ellerslie to Bucklands Beach!  Any other less expensive taxi's or transport services anyone know about?  I seem to remember a previous post of a service charging around $20 or so, but the name escapes me? Can you help?

she did and we did - but they can be costly if you need to go further than 10km

Best is to swop out with someone - do me a favor now and I return it later. Thats what we do now.

You can bargain with all taxi drivers in Auckland, name an outrageous price and they can only go up, but it wont be as high as a usual fare, TRUST ME - have done it on many drunken nights :)
