My husbands name is Troy and he is an electrician actually much more than just a sparky we have had our own business for 17 years and in those years have built houses, worked in factories fixing there machines, he welds tiles builds does plumbing somma everything . His nickname amongst friends and family is Troy "Modify" Prince yes he even fixes cars and bikes.
We have filled in our EOI but are waiting for some positive cashflow to submit (January is just to close to Christmas as well as kids going back to school new books textbooks uniforms suitcases and all the rest at this time of year) we have 135 points and Troy's trades have been assessed by EWRB in Wellington.
I already have all our unabridged certificates and are fetching our police clearances in Pretoria on Thursday.
Sometimes I feel that I am just marking time I don't want to start anything or replace anything I just want to start packing, (bit premature as I haven't even submitted the EOI but the brain and heart won't listen)
I don't even want to plant winter bulbs cause I don't want to be here when they bloom (nuts I know! )
We visited both Australia and NewZealand for an LSD trip in 1999 (I know ! ) we kept thinking things would get better and we are close to our family, but now I have sons that will not get a break because they have pale male syndrome so I don"t have a choice. I also have a daughter that will be needing a safe and accredited university in a couple of years.
I have always said South Africans are so aggressive and agro because we are sleep deprived, we never sleep deeply as soon as we hear a sound we are awake ,not deur die mik but totally awake and making decisions. What was that , where is the gun, is my family safe, I just can't do it anymore. (just check out the road rage)
We are really lucky Troy has an Aunt and cousins that have been in New Zealand for more than 30 years and a whole bunch of my cousins have just immigrated with their families as well so we will still have some family.
Me I am a housewife (I work on my husbands nerves and there is no one more qualified at that than me ! ) I do scrapbooking, pottery , sewing ,embroidery, beading (although Troy says I only do that because I like containers with compartments and I need something to put in them -SO rude ! ) somma all crafts. (yes I have a maid - don't have time for housework with all my activities) Heee Heee.
I can not wait to show my children how one is supposed to live, so hopefully we will be there soon.
It would be great to keep in touch
Regards
Marcia
