Hi all 18 months in and still adjusting , on one hand so much has happened in our lives and on another I struggle to see the changes.
one good thing is althouge we have talked about it we are still in the same rental and are quiet comfortable (to scared to have to pack and move

)
my Daughter has now finnished year 13 and we are waiting to hear if she has got into uni. I am and have been working fulltime for a year now and Troy has just recently changed jobs (

much better pay packet)
In November I became a grandmother

but the down side is my grandson lives in South Africa

and as it is also Christmas I find that once again I am REALLY homesick. Up until he was born I had started to think of NZ as home .
are we coping? yes very well (althouge I will not say no to a lotto win

) we have 2 cars , have been on a few holidays and I generally spend money like water

.
The cost of living has gone up lately but not as badly as it has in SA ,am shocked when the family tell me price of some food items that I used to take as necesaties, like marg and bread.
Am still friends with people I met at the forum get togethers and still speak to alot of them althouge Rockhopper and SAKIWIBOER have been awfully quiet lately.
we enjoyed the Rugby world cup.
Have made new family ties here in NZ I now have a few extra nephews and a niece thanx to HCLIDARIS ,PARRA ,EDWARD AND MARLE and THEBOOKS and an extended new baby from GLEROUX

Weather wise last year was amazing this summer so far has had tooooooo much rain for this gilrl

weekdays when I have to be in an office the weather is amazing weekends like today sucks.
Are we sorry or was all the drama of immigrating worth it , yes definately.
