Yes I saw on internet news today that they have some suspects in custody.  What a terrible terrible thing to do.  All those people dead and the others completely devestated.  You have to be pure evil to do such a thing.   In the meantime back in NZ the hot weather has finally lifted.  I have never been so happy to see some rain!!

Jackie you got rain? :-\

Here in Whangarei it just stays as humid as all hell. Yesterday morning at 7 am our humidity was already running at 86%. When we do get a few drops it instantly turns to steam and makes the uncomfortable conditions even more so. At this rate I cannot wait for winter.

Hi Dance, jip I thought Durban was bad but Whangarei (we are in One Tree Point) is getting to hot for me lately!  :crazy2: I prefered the cooler weather by far - at least the summer is not as long as in Durban!

It's actually not that bad! O0 It is cold while it is snowing, yet after it snows it gets a bit warmer!  It is amazing to see the snow falling, each snow flake is different, at times it looks like sleet.   And we are only 1 hr away from Mt Hutt for skiing or snowboarding, even more spectacular to see proper snow  O0

How do you drive on the stuff though, we went to Kokstad once when it was snowing, hubby had family there. The road was so slippery I thought I would never stop praying!!!! Longest road trip of my life! But I supose people are more prepared here!?

If we were going to Mt Hutt you would have to put chains on your tyres  O0
If the snow is heavy then they close the highway.  The roads are usually very wet, can get slippery although we haven't encountered that.
The thing to watch out for is black frost.  That makes the roads really bad.
In Mosgiel, in the winter, the frost under the trees would still be there in the late afternoon, because the sun hadn't been hot enough to melt it away.  ;D
