Or the restuarant was either on the basement floor of the hotel or right next to it, so not that far to walk!!!!  :heeha:

I'm a huge fan of Top Gear, now I'm not so sure I wanna be
He needs to speak to a couple of locals first and maybe go stay in somebody's home for a few nights, before coming to any conclusion about SA :idiot2:
I reckon his inbox is gonna be jammed up with angry SAn's soon :tickedoff:

I just hope for his sake when he has gone out for dinner and a glass of wine and he is on his walk back to his hotel he does not meet a fate that so many have.  Why do SAners wrap them self in razor wire? Well, it certainly isn't a fashion statement its because if they don't they are vulnerable and so is their family!
His is a real chop!

If someone takes him up on his dare and gets killed (which there is a good chance off if you are going to be walking around in the JHB streets at night) then what is he going to say.    'Um sorry, these things happen?'    He spent a couple of days there and suddenly he is an expert over all those people who have to LIVE the life everyday.   I think his column has insulted the memory of each person who has ever died a violent premature death in that country.  If he likes it so much he should move there!  Live there without razor wire and an alarm and let's see how long he lasts!  :tickedoff:

I think he is loosing the limelight.  So now he makes big statements like this and insulting people, just to get back into the limelight.

it worked,  google it,  you see it all over on every news site.... he sure got the attention he wanted..  even from us...

Hubby is away, and here I've been - up the whole night wondering if every little sound in my house is not maybe an intruder - I've been so mis-informed for the last 30 odd years!!!  :crazy2:

Think I can get a refund for the ulcers these "mis-informed years in SA" have caused me?

Seriously, I think it's a case of "first-time lucky".
But if I was him, I wouldn't push my luck a 2nd time!

personally,  with stupid comments like that,  i would actually encourage him to push his luck a bit... one less idiot is a good thing.

I like top gear, but i sure as hell will look at that program with different eyes.
