Storage - NZ
« on: March 29, 2007, 09:27:00 am »
I do not know if someone has posted on this site so sorry if I duplicate info but I just want to mention again ; storage space in NZ is a problem.  People warned us to buy chest of drawers to bring with but I was clever ... how bad can it be right...
Guys their cupboards are minute
they very seldom have shelves; its usually just hanging space; you can buy loads of "fittings for the cupboards that hook onto the rails (like wire shelves .. dont laugh not sure how to explain ;p)
but of course its expensive
and a cheap chest of drawers will go for like $400

so if theres space in the container; bring stuff to pack your clothes in

Thanks Chantel, will definately put chest of drawers on the shopping list here!!!
I have two boys so hanging space is wasted and shelves are crucial.

Thanks Chantel - that decides that for us then.  We've been spoiled here in the USA with walk-in closets for all bedrooms (yes, the kids ones too!  they play inside there!).
lekker sweet as, y'all

Yes thanks for that advice.

My two boys already use chest of drawers and we could not do without them so I will also bear that in mind to pack and take with.....
