Thanx guys I have a feeling that we will be ok, one good thing about immigration is you start with a clean slate as in no dept. Neither of us smokes or drink alchahol, Troy has a beer once in a blue moon and normally only socially. And my maiden name was DRUMMOND-HAY so Scottish blood and all I am very used to turning pennies around and around again.
We do not live an extravagant lifestyle and Troy is a real Boer he likes good wholesome cooking none of the fancy stuff " Vlies rys en ardtapples" I am sure everyone that has read my posts know that I fight to find every cent . When we sell our house we will have a bit of money to see us through the first few months while looking for employment and to buy 2 small cars (yes Troy has been living on the car sites) and G*d willing    once he starts working we will be ok. My children are both teenagers so will not require day care and hopefully I can stay a house wife.
I could probably go back to nursing or work at a lab again but I would prefer to be home for my kids
We shall just have to see what we shall see; coming back is not an option for us so we will make it. Not because we can’t come back but simply because my children need to have some kind of prospects for their future.
I have a few things up my sleeve to do from home so who knows.  ;)

Thanks to everyone.

It is wonderful how such a simple question, turned into such a
great post.

I think it gave a good perspective on things for many of us (not just me)
still here in SA.

The opinions are so different!

Thanks
Jenny

Well in the end he did not get the job in Auckland - company employed a kiwi.

But he did hear from the company in Hamilton this morning and they said
"welcome on board"  :yippee: :cheering:

Now for the WP application  :heeha:
