Hi Steve, sorry I don't have the price of all the different beers in NZ. It all depends of what you drink and when you buy it. Let me try and explain. I like Steinlager and I buy it at around $20-$21 for 15. But there is so many different tipes of beer in NZ, it just isn't funny. I have also seen beer on a special for $5 a six pack, and it was beer from Nederland. The only beer I haven't seen in the groceries fridges, is the SA beers. Believe me, it will take you sometime to get used to the taste and also to find your new favourite. Hope it helps, Cheers,  O0  SAKB.

@ Steve

You will have to give your Castle or is it Black Label up and switch to something proper like Heineken  or Stella Artois

Stella was on special at New World for $19.99 for 12 and Heineken for $18.99  ::)

Try seeing expences as a percentage of your hourly income.  that puts it into a better perspective when deciding whether ie a loaf of bread is more expensive in  NZ than in SA. We have been here all of 2 1/2 months and feel that basic foodstuffs are affordable, not cheap, but then not expensive either.
