We all went through those same decisions, doubts, fears and costs but in the end
it worked out and we as a family are very happy here.

Although I have not been writing a lot on the forum, I have been reading regularly, and it has been of great help. Thanks a lot, you guys!

It has taken us a long time to make up our minds, but now we are set on going. We are busy getting our EOI ready, for which we hope to have 145 points, if INZ agrees with our calculations.

Man, the only Kiwi animal comparable to a jackal that I can think of is a possum. But I don't really know what they look like in life. The only ones I ever saw were squashed flat, in the middle of the road. Scores of them.

So, on second thoughts I might stick with 2GatJakkals for the time being. Just let it be known that I don't feel like one anymore!

hahaha.... that's a good one! So we can call you "bright Eyed Possum" from now on?

Just make sure you get your qualifications assessed BEFORE you do your EOI. That way when you claim points for your quals, you're not guessing which level it's equivalent to. I've heard of people's EOI's being denied because they couldn't prove their level.

All the best with your applications, sure sounds like you have enough points to get PR real soon!

I'm lucky: I have a wife who's on the long term skills shortage list: she's an occupational therapist. But yes, we're busy having her qualification assessed.
