Hello everyone,
My name is Adele and I am originally from Durbs by the sea but have been living in the USA for about 13 years right now. I have finally decided that if I can't get permanent residence here after this long and my lawyer tells me it will me about another 7 years at least that its time for me to go. The uncertainty of this process for so long is just not my think so I have made the decision to move to NZ.
My visa for the USA expires in Feb 2011 so I decided to make the move then. My paperwork is a little more challenging because I have to do everything from over here by mail! Not fun. So right now I'm trying to get my unabridged Birth Certificate which my mom applied for(she's still in SA) they said it would take 4 weeks. I'm holding off on my PC for right now because from what I understand it can't be more than 6 months old. The plan is to apply for it in December.
I work in IT so I'm on the skills shortage list so hoping that I'll be able to get through the whole process. Kind of have mixed feelings about everything. This has been my home for a while now but can't stay and I know that there is no way I can live in SA. Oh well I've done it before and I can do it again.
