Paying a deposit from SA?
« on: May 09, 2011, 09:30:12 am »
Howdy All

We are planning on landing in Wellington in the first week of June. I managed to get some fully furnished "guest" house accommodation for the first couple of weeks. I now need to deposit some funds into the owners account to secure my booking. They do not accept credit cards... what a mission  :crazy2:
I was thinking of using Western Union at an ABSA branch, they can then collect the depost at the post shop?

Any alternative?

Cheers

Hi Hichenph,

I do all our deposits also through Absa but directly into the other party's bank account.
You would need a invoice from the company stating reasons for transfer, your bank statements to show where the money comes from and then fill in the doc's that Absa gives you and as always your ID.
2 days and it is in their bank account save.

GRS
Having it all doesn't necesarrily mean having it all at once!!!
