Just to add to Evita's post:
If people think SA DOESN'T have a drug culture, they're seriously deluded or living under a rock.  Drugs are EVERYWHERE: in public schools, in private schools, in sports, in business, in government.  Don't ever think its not just because you don't have it reported in the news or because you firmly believe your children would never do such a thing...
07/10/2009: EOI Submitted (TICK)
08/10/2009: EOI selected from pool (TICK!)
19/11/2009: ITA received (TICK!)
25/11/2009: ITA submitted (TICK!)
20/05/2010: PR granted (after waiting 2 months for a police clearance!)
27/05/2010: Passports submitted
02/06/2010: Passports returned - YAY!!!!!

I have a drinking and driving charge :'(  :blush: dating back to July 2009, will this hinder any applications for WP or PR?

Will give you the policy guidelines. You should declare it on your EOI/ita.

See para's h and I.

 A5.25.1. States how case officers should go forward under the circumstances. You might be best to consult with an agent or lawyer, as your case is not a "run of the mill" case.
