Specialized Security / SWAT member work question

Hi Guys
Hope everyone is doing well, I need some advise please, and I hope it is not borderline on immigration but I think not, my Sisters Partner is a very highly skilled Security Expert, he has a lot of diplomas in his field, guns, diving, swat training etc, he does all the covert ops for mines etc, extraction of illegals etc, but they desperately want to go and live in NZ, how and where can he find a job in NZ, and what type of Visa should they look at, any advise is welcome please, please guys

Sounds like he has a similar background to my partner.

Sadly those kind of skills arent really needed in NZ. He could look at joining the NZ Police and then getting into a specialist team (swat/divers etc). He could look into the Army. There is private security work for a handful of security companies but the work is mostly unarmed guarding for events and the like (and doesnt pay well). There is prison services. Or he could look into surveillance work for either the casino or the few corporates that require. Maybe working at the airport for customs/immigration.

My partner has ended up at the drug detection agency. Years in the military and police have left him in no shape to join the police/army!
