EOI points
« on: November 06, 2011, 07:04:27 AM »
Hey everyone....

We still in the process of completing our EOI and received an email from a migration agent stating the the point have been dropped for acceptance. Is there anywhere on INZ that this can be confirmed?

According to the NZ govt site, it's still 100 points to submit your EOI.

use the above link to check whether you have enough points to qualify.

AND be VERY careful of "migration agents".  You can do this all yourself, if you read the info on the Immigration site carefully.  These agents ask a lot of money and they CANNOT guarantee that you WILL get PR or WP or a job.  You still have to get all the paperwork yourself.  They just act as a go-between, and take your money that you could have used to ship more of your beloved stuff over, or pay for your tickets.
lekker sweet as, y'all

I think the agent may have been referring to the latest selection criteria, not the actual points required to submit an EOI.  Throughout the year, the people selected will have different minimum requirements for selection.  This depends on the talent in the pool at the time of selection.  E.g. if there's lots of people with over 140 points, there's less spaces available for people with lower points so the requirements get higher for selection.

Agreed with everything  Zatexnz says re. agents!
07/10/2009: EOI Submitted (TICK)
08/10/2009: EOI selected from pool (TICK!)
19/11/2009: ITA received (TICK!)
25/11/2009: ITA submitted (TICK!)
20/05/2010: PR granted (after waiting 2 months for a police clearance!)
27/05/2010: Passports submitted
02/06/2010: Passports returned - YAY!!!!!
