« on: November 08, 2011, 08:54:12 AM »
Hi everyone,

A quick question my partner is concerned about.... He is a diesel mechanic and was wondering if he is required to supply his own tools or will the potential employer supply???

Hi there
My hubby is a mechanic too and he has to supply his own tools. We shipped a box load over of the basic stuff when we came over and since then he has slowly added to his collection. Most trade employers add a tool allowance to your wages to help you purchase more tools, and the 2 places my OH has worked at he has had staff accounts where he buys tools at cost to the company and can pay off.
