The operative word is may and not will. Stop agonizing about these minor infringements - it will not affect your application - however, if you are a serial offender or,  god forbid, you have trimmed a tree on your property a bit to enthusiastically you will have problems.

you get the option of going for an interview for your citizenship. I choose to have one to try speed it up. Just explain it to the person. They will understand! They just dont want criminals or serial offenders.

And BTW, my ticker below shows the date at which we should be able to apply for our citizenship based on the 240 days per year criteria.  I'm wondering if I could at all do that earlier, seeing as I've spent 365 days of each of the previous 4 years in NZ... AND we've bought TWO houses... hm....

When we applied (Feb 14th) we listed the infringements we had, 1 for DH, 4 on my name - some of them thanks to DH .  We were told that they don't want to see 4 or more in one year.  In the past 2 years I had one.  Our background checks came back clear so now on to stage two - quality check at DIA (Department of Internal Affairs) then applications will be sent for approval.
