STD Bank credit card users change pin to four-numbered pin
« on: March 08, 2013, 04:49:51 am »
Hi!
After chatting in another post, I thought I should actually post this separately in case someone needs this info!

We used my hubby's credit card for the first few weeks of our time in NZ and most of the time it worked well...BUT...
It wouldn't accept his pin on an EFTPOS purchase (petrol)...eventually it read 'final attempt' and we stopped trying in case it got blocked!!! After hours of us thinking our card had been stolen and used, to all of our cash being stolen out of it...we had to wait until 9pm to call and get an answer from Std Bank in SA.
The cards have four-number pins here and his STD bank card has a five, so it doesn't always register in the machines. It has given us many many errors because of this.

So, before you leave SA, change it to a four-numbered pin! :):)

Have a great day!
THIS journey is worth every bit of blood and tears...
