Thanks Nolan for the explanation. I was also wondering why there are Newbies who are admins with more of a focus on marketing and what seemed like on every thread posted the person being told to contact jepwood.

For me I just found with the changes the site got boring and I stopped bothering to come and read the posts. The site seemed to lose all personality.

Hopefully it is all teething problems, as they say alot here onward and upward, looking forward to it all coming right.

1) They had to be ex-Saffers
2) They had to have the ability to grow the site
3) They had to have the connections to continue to assists the guys coming over
4) They had to be independant

Nolan just a quick question who is the person "Advisor" who is a moderator, as this person does not fit the ex Saffer criteria in fact they say in a post they have never been there. I don't have a problem with this but just in the light of transparency, would like some clarification.

Please could the admins also advise what did happen to Rockhoppers post as Sheralee was going to investigate.

Hi Siouxzee,

We have two immigration advisers on this site to answer people's immediate questions about immigration and to put some of their worries at ease. As you must be aware, not just anyone can give immigration advice and it was imperative to have licensed advisers on site. One of the advisers has, admittedly, not been to SA but he knows about immigration which is why he's here. The other adviser has been to SA a number of times and is married to a South African. I'll give her points for that  ;D

Nolan will have to answer about Rockhopper post as he dealt with him but I do believe he is no longer a member.

This forum is for members to interact, to make merry, to love, to laugh and to cry and for admins to help out a little, should the need arise. Go for it, this is your playpen  :yippee:

Yes. I haven't been in South Africa. I am a licensed adviser and a moderator on this forum. Not sure if it is a good thing or not that I'm not ex-Saffer but I know enough about SA to be helpful about immigration advise to my lovely SA clients. I'm a very liberal moderator and you are free to express any opinion about me and the industry. I'm here because I am a moderator on another website; I'm an immigration adviser; it could be interesting to stick around. Well... So far it's been quite interesting. I wanted to be up front with people here. As far as my real name is concerned I think you will find out very quickly if you want :)
I am a licensed immigration adviser in real life. I do love what I do and how I do it. Peace!!!

Why would somebody who's in the immigration business want to hide his identity on an immigration website?

@Sheralee and Advisor

Completely understand why we need Immigration Advisors on the site etc Have no problem with it. So no need to justify that. My specific query was Nolan's criteria was they had to be ex Saffa's would like to understand why that is a criteria and now it seems neither of the IA's are actually ex SA.

Which again don't have a problem with it at all just wondering :)

Thanks Adviser/Sergey.....glad to be able to come to this Forum again to be able to read answers to Immigration questions. It doesn't matter to me whether you are a South African or not or even if you came from the Moon  :). The whole purpose of this Forum for me was to read answers or even just to enjoy reading other peoples experiences from those who were fortunate to have been through it all already & have no selfish bone in their bodies with regards to sharing.  I sadly have to admit I used another Forum to get just that as I found this forum for awhile just wasn't doing it for me, but now enjoy reading here again.
Thank you

I just want to point out, that the advisors on here are still not going to give immigration advice on the forum. If you want thier advice, you will have to go through north shore immigration.

Howdy everyone! Sherelee is ex-Saffa as far as I know. I don't mind answering questions but I hope everybody understands that my answers may not be necessarily correct without knowledge of any particular circumstances. Consider this as a disclaimer. I'll try to be helpful and not to annoy public with promotion of myself. We are all adults here :) peace everyone  :1hug:

Oops, did I not mention that I'm an ex Saffa?? My bad  :'(

I have mentioned on previous threads that I'm originally from Durbs-by-the-sea and a KwaZuluNatalian all my life. My beautiful nineteen year old son is back in Durban (as you all know, teens know everything) and hopefully one day he comes back home.

I love New Zealand and am very active in promoting and helping immigrants settle in here. I hope I can help, in a small way, to let people know where we are and what we do and how we can help - New Arrivals evenings, South African Social on the Shore and connecting people all over NZ through The South African Magazine which I put together and am very proud of.

Now it's time for that cup of coffee  :coffee:
