Pros and cons
« on: January 09, 2016, 10:45:17 am »
I am currently doing research on going to New Zealand. I am a South African Social Worker who has had enough of SA. It becomes harder each day and realizing more and more that I don't have a future in SA. I want to know if NZ is a good option?

As opposed to what? South Africa? Australia? Canada?  New Zealand is what you make of it. Some people love it, like me, and have found their Utopia, others hate it or just live with it. Weather is dependant on where you live. Each place has its own climate and micro-climates. It is expensive to live here, but your quality of life is good. It is very safe, but we still have crime.  The kiwis are similar to us in some ways, different in others.  They have more empathy. Schools are good.

Hi there, I'm not in NZ yet.  However, I also feel that I (and more importantly our kids) do not have a future in SA.  We find that unacceptable and more than enough reason to look for greener pastures.  Our research pointed us towards NZ.

PS. Remember:  Adventure is out there!   ;)
