Can Oldies Start a Business?
« on: May 09, 2016, 08:05:09 pm »
Hello Everyone,
What options are there for a couple as senior citizens to open their own business in NZ, as we do not have traditional skills to seek employment? Ages: around the 70 mark.
Nor do we have the required minimum of $NZ500,000 to "buy into" the country.
Any advice would be appreciated.
(Our son is already a permanent resident in NZ.)
Many thanks,
D.

I was asking about a business as a possible route to migration. However on closer examination, I see there are 3 options: an entrepreneur work visa, the parent category and the retired parent category. I will research the links to see which would suit us better, then once there we could look at business options.
Thanks for the replies.
